Thinking that Brian Houston had fallen into the shadows with the controversy surrounding the accusation of His father’s pedophilia could not be further from the truth. He is an advisor to the Prime Minister and immigration minister calling the shots on Novak Djokovic’s visa. Being pentecostal you would think that these people are in tune with developments in the world that would culminate in the mark of the beast, yet they have little understanding of liberty issues.

Protestants will throw their whole influence and strength on the side of the papacy. By a national act enforcing the false sabbath they will give life and vigor to the corrupt faith of Rome, reviving her tyranny and oppression of conscience.–Mar 179 (1893). {LDE 128.3}

Note: The adoption of liberal ideas on its part (Protestantism) will bring it where it can clasp the hand of Catholicism.–RH June 1, 1886. {LDE 130.2} Romanism in the Old World, and apostate Protestantism in the New, will pursue a similar course toward those who honor all the divine precepts.–GC 616 (1911). {LDE 130.4} The church appeals to the strong arm of civil power, and in this work papists and Protestants unite.–GC 607 (1911). {LDE 145.4}

Special Counsel assisting the Morrison Government, Brian Houston, has yet to make a decision on tennis world number one Novak Djokovic’s visa – something that has forced Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Immigration Minister Alex Hawke to kick the can down the road further today.

Mr Houston, who used to moonlight as the spiritual figurehead of pentecostal megachurch and political lobby group Hillsong, is often touted as the man behind many of the critical decisions the Morrison Government makes.

Minister Hawke is a Hillsong Church platinum member and counts Mr Houston as a friend.

While the Prime Minister is a diamond triple-platinum member of Hillsong splinter group, Horizon Church, he is not outside the Hillsong cone of silence, either.

However, as Mr Houston is out of the country, it has been difficult to receive special counsel on this very tricky matter, says the director of the Prime Minister’s own version of the Knights Templar, the Sharks Templar.

“When Brian makes a decision on Novak, the government will make the announcement,” said Lord Annesley, Sharks Templar director.

“It is, indeed, a difficult deicison. This is why Minister Hawke has decided someone else should make it. Brian. Novak, by the letter of the law, shouldn’t be here. However, if he is deported, the consequences of that will be extremely damaging,”

“I, for one, am glad that the government isn’t making this decision.”

More to come.

Hillsong co-founder Brian Houston lashed out a decision to let Novak Djokovic stay in Australia and urged the government to toughen up the rules – just three days before a wild party at his church’s youth camp sparked outrage.

The mega church came under fire after footage went viral of young revellers singing and dancing at the Hillsong Wildlife Summercamp held north of Sydney, despite a  despite a statewide ban on those activities in nightclubs, pubs and outdoor events.

The video sparked fury on a day NSW recorded more than 92,000 new Covid-19 cases – with Health Minister Brad Hazzard saying the event was ‘clearly in breach of both the spirit and intent of the (public health) order.’

Three days earlier, the celebrity pastor weighed into Djokovic’s Covid-19 vaccine exemption and visa saga ahead of the Australian Open in Melbourne next week.

Mr Houston fired off a blistering tweet on Monday after a judge ordered Djokovic be released from immigration detention and not be deported.

‘He should never have been allowed in the country,’ he said.

‘Hopefully Australia will learn from it and toughen up the rules. #proudlyvaccinated.’

Mr Houston’s comments about the tennis world number one sparked a divided reaction with even the tweet author replying he would be ‘standing well back from this one’.

‘Wow Brian, I used to be inspired by your messages. I’ve opened my eyes. I didn’t realise that totalitarianism could blind you so bad. Just when the world needs Christian leaders to stand up for what is right! Your hashtag should read#proudtobechristian,’ one man wrote.

Another added: ‘Coming from a pastor, this is a very saddening tweet. Where’s Jesus in this?’
