is an historical day but missing is the main character Pope John Paul the second who paved the way for the downfall of the USSR and the wall in the eastern block coming down. This made way for a new era in the world in which American domination occurred while it was supposedly dismantling her nuclear weapons. The first world hegemony was to exit and the alliance is between the Vatican and the USA. The beginnings of a Catholic Protestant collaboration that Hitler had failed to achieve as marked by his speeches to the German people.

The Bible describes the U.S. as the beast with lamb-like horns pointing us to it’s Protestant background and it says that it is a power that brings down fire in the sight of men and that no man might buy or sell except it receives the mark of the beast. Am I just making this up to fit with my own thoughts about the current world scene or was it long predicted??
In 1888 The Great Controversy interpreting Revelation 13 said: “The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of Spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience”.–The Great Controversy, p. 588. {ChS 160.1} To whom will its hand reach from which the forefathers had escaped to have liberty of conscience- ROME.
“The lamb-like horns and dragon voice of the symbol point to a striking contradiction between the professions and the practice of the nation thus represented. The “speaking” of the nation is the action of its legislative and judicial authorities. By such action it will give the lie to those liberal and peaceful principles which it has put forth as the foundation of its policy”. Great Controversy P442. In this the visit of Pope Francis to the U.S. congress may have great significance for the future of this country and the world.
The direction we see the United States taking in its war like policies should be obvious to us today as it looks to make war with that other beast- atheistic communism which was also predicted as a persecuting power in Revelation.
