Daniel 11 is a running commentary of wars between the King of the North and the King of the South. The King of the North must defeat the King of the South to become established. When the Papacy (King of the North) received a deadly wound in order for it to be re-established to the former power it had in the dark ages, it must defeat the King of the South who we are told is Egypt. Just as Rome became the church of Rome so the religion of Egypt is Islam. We are in the midst of that war right now. Just as in Spain in the early 1400s, having defeated Islam Spain went on to persecute the Jews and they were forced to leave the country so history will repeat itself in the worldwide persecution of Sabbath keepers beginning in the USA.
