Faith means faithfulness. Faithfulness is someone who carries out his or her actions. Now God is faithful of course but what about those who claim to have the faith of Jesus?
Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. He should not even need to say that for the very rules of life- His commandments are pro life and for our advantage to keep but because we are lost and our understanding is dim God has given us lots of instructions but they all come back to that which makes us eligible for heaven- the Ten Commandments.
Many Christians today and the majority of them say we don’t have to keep the commandments, the Sabbath is done away with or we can’t keep the commandments perfectly but we must have faith in Jesus – this is the words of the majority which choose not to take God seriously at His word.
That we have to have faith or trust in Jesus is true to give us the power and inspiration to have a changed heart or mind, but this is a half truth. The full truth is that faith is seen evident in out actions. Only living the full truth will save us and make us whole and acceptable for the society of heaven.
Romans 2:13 For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Some believe that having the day off is Sabbath keeping while engaging in social activities or to take off the day where possible if it is convenient and does not interfere with work. Worship is not taken seriously and those things that pertain to life.
Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words:
58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].
Why do many think God is not there?
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
