The image of a man found in Daniel represents the history of mankind simply as a man but more than this ultimately the Antichrist who appears as the Christ on earth but is not Christ. This lays a foundation for understanding the Bible prophecies that follow in the books of Daniel and Revelation as this theme is expanded upon and also indicates the span of time in which the prophecies occur- that is right till the end of time, till the image is smashed to bits by the rock that is Christ’s coming.

The sanctuary or the throne room of God is concerned with the redemption of men and reveals the agencies of heaven are working for man’s salvation. It is not just praying to God and He hears our thoughts, there is much more involved as angels work on men’s behalf. The work of the sanctuary reveals the phases of Christ’s ministration and a judgment in which angels who have been witnesses to the deeds and conversions of men and women and also witness to evil deeds, reside over the books of life to consider each candidate carefully as suitable to join the rank of angels and the throne room of God. It is not a light matter. No taint of sin must remain in the character for angels who once bowed at Jesus’ name have fallen from their ranks to eternal shame and this must never occur again. Judgment must occur before Jesus returns and the marriage ceremony is the full endowment of His Spirit to those who shall be translated from this earth at His coming. Judgment comes to all but first to the house of God that all who are without spot are given entrance to the city of God. Therefore it is a judgment message found in the prophecies.
