The tide of human emotion

He sings with all the veracity of human love, despair, depth of human poverty. His agony of soul makes him a potentially rich man but he dies at age 30. His death makes him a legend, but will the legend ascend to heaven? What had he really achieved when weighed with eternity?
The point here really is not whether Jeff made it to heaven cause that is in the hands of God and we shall see what God will reveal at His coming and the resurrection, rather this is about the essence of who you and I are and where the emotion of humanity leads.
Making a stop at the Wolf River channel of the Mississippi River, a fully clothed Buckley waded into the water and began swimming. The wake of a passing boat sucked Buckley under, and he drowned. His body was recovered six days later, after it was seen by a riverboat passenger. You may say well he did a whole lot better than you and I and in this world’s estimation that might be so, but where does that leave you and I.

He plays in a school uniform and skips along the stage and is paid well for leading many to the highway to hell. (It can’t be serious right?)
He gets inside the mind of the young, and the experiences and emotions remains locked away inside, and when he is older, at a later time, it takes us back to an experience of former days, perhaps leading us to jeopardize our eternal well being.

Little Richard “My true belief about Rock ‘n’ Roll–and there have been a lot of phrases attributed to me over the years–is this: I believe this kind of music is demonic. … A lot of the beats in music today are taken from voodoo, from the voodoo drums. If you study music in rhythms, like I have, you’ll see that is true. I believe that kind of music is driving people from Christ. It is contagious” (Little Richard, quoted by Charles White, The Life and Times of Little Richard, p. 197).
“I was directed and commanded by another power. The power of darkness … The power that a lot of people don’t believe exists. The power of the Devil. Satan” (Little Richard, quoted in The Life and Times of Little Richard, pp. 205,206). Little Richard’s successor Bowie had no struggle with Christianity as Little Richard did, who often appeared to be confused in sexuality and Christian values. But little Richard has behind a him valuable background, a resource from which to draw unlike many of his contemporaries.

The music contains that explosive energy of human despair and passion longing for satisfaction that strikes the cord but has no answer. Often much ‘good’ and then with the white the black. Many times the message is subliminal catering to us as the living dead with no rational message to the song. Many start as the girl next door and move on to whatever it pays moving the young into open rebellion with the leader. There are many paid prostitutes held up as gods. Greedily they seek wealth and honor from those who hate the God of Heaven.

Some of the music is straight from hell as if a demon is screaming out the tune but the music we are talking about here is the music of this age that is considered the commercial norm today, for the normal ‘Joes’, hypnotically tuned to preserve talent, that strikes the cord with our own soul, hoping, dreaming, failing, screaming, dying as the the music plays on. The songs of the heart we may find as a crutch, just as alcohol became a crutch to many when there is a life crisis, to forget the pain. The Lord would have us deal with things differently, with a song in the heart in adversity which would raise us heavenward.

Some may through disability never find what they really seek, through debt or circumstance never obtain what they desire. Only God can see such realities through in the long run. What is the life worth in the scale of eternity? To live to achieve what you want to achieve, to become what you really dream of becoming- few in this world are paid goodly wages and can see their dreams through and none can pass this life without sorrow.

It’s the look of the world- knowing (good & evil), shrewd, cool
He just sung, drugged, sexed, drank his fill till he couldn’t get enough and burnt himself out and asks you to join him and You helped to pay for it all. Its cool to die in rebellion right?

He is 44 and he has had his fill of marijuana and cocaine and not that you know the reason for it but he has health problems that make Him an invalid for the rest of his life- he was in rebellion against his own self!

She was a popular singer but at an early age died alone without being discovered for three years – what value has this life if we miss eternity?

He was popular with the girls and the boys but after living with a girl, the relationship breaks up, this young man who had everything for live for dies at 21, a self murderer- why in affluence is there such poverty?

He’s retired early and lives on the water in a fantastic location but the good life is killing him and he dies at an early age because he can’t control his appetite- will those who are self-abusive enter into heaven? Will God give us back bodies of flesh and bone for us to just destroy them again?

Isaiah 57:20 But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
57:21 [There is] no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

Our thoughts and feelings betray us, only God’s word gives us directions that are pro-life as found in the moral law, health laws and natural law.

Men plan & secure their interests in this life and for a good retirement if possible, then why do they not act sensibly in dealing with matters of self interest which stretch over into an eternity? As the music plays on, and the emotion of love, betrayal and death sings on, God is offering a very positive pro life message, that will fulfill are wildest dreams, in adventure, building, craft and sciences. But the morally dead, those who have not repented like Balaam will see, desire but never taste of all the goodness the creator shall provide for those that have prepared themselves physically & spiritually.

Let us put our attention, thoughts and feelings towards those pure things that lift our minds to that eternal weight of glory. No doubt there will be struggles, but all good things come with struggle and effort in building the temple in glory to God.

Self image & Christian growth

The ugly duckling
Went to a her wedding to be a swan
But swans amongst ducklings
Don’t hold much interest you see
And being what your not doesn’t make you happy & free.

The reflection was always muddy
The beautiful in another place and time
The duck had surgery
But the look, the being
Was something unnatural, a horrible crime

And as the duck looked back
To see her own type
She pondered her situation and why she had had a grip
But something’s may change forever
It starts as a choice of the subconscious mind
The way we think
And God could not help the duck
She could see but really she was blind.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
That beauty only comes from accepting your own skin
He gives you the material
But the tone, the mood, the presentation, the attitude
Is all yours to make to ensure your presentation to another is not shallow or fake
And knowing God never makes a mistake.

The ideas, self talk may cripple our walk with God. The self focus others will notice and in trying so hard to be another
we fail to show our beautiful self to others.

How to save a soul from death, and hide a multitude of sins? or lead a man to death and cover him with his sins?

Many of us have an identity and with it self-esteem crisis (it can be from our sin or from the sin of others) and as more families fracture and abuse increases, so do the number of people facing these issues. It could well be a grip carried which blames parents and takes the beauty of character from the life. There can be with this as a result to children little trust in others (suspicion), blaming and finger pointing which is baggage carried into the adult life. Suspicion when part of the character must be separated from our characters if we are to enter the real and physical realm of heaven.

If we all are not born natural Christians then there is some behavior correction to be done by all with sympathy for others as we contemplate our own short comings but sin can make us foolishly blind to where we at.

Suspicion demoralizes, producing the very evils it seeks to prevent and it deprives a person of spirit (a spirit of good thoughts and feelings that God would have us to carry), courage, destroying the morale often by continuous barrage from misunderstanding, or proceeding from exaggeration or a partial disclosure of facts. If suspicion is realised think of the opportunity, grace and positive trust that you wish to receive from God that should be solicited to others.
With others real love is needed. Should a brother go astray treat him as a confidential friend, with love and correction, it is the time to show your real interest in him. Go to him with kindness, praying with and for him, remembering the infinite price which Christ has paid for his redemption. In this way you may save a soul from death, and hide a multitude of sins. {CCh 174.4}
While men more often participate in open aggression, women more often engage in subtle sabotage by gossip, showing the nature of man to destroy himself rather than to uplift a brother. This is the nature of the problem- destroying self and one another. Christ has called us to a higher standard than this which caters not to those that will visit you to whom you return hospitality but to seek the lost sheep of Israel in their homes and by restoring him to faith by the faith you place in Him as He is directed by your kindness to Christ.

Our opportunity given to others to restore confidence in them, maybe the very thing that allows them to kick the goals they were not able to achieve and so the opposite might also be said. More often suspicion, discouragement are seen amongst us by which Christ is unable to manifest Himself to us.

Then what might be the key to the family on earth and therefore the family in heaven, radiating from within out to those around us? How now is the morale law become alive in love for one another. Philippians says esteeming others better than ourselves, and restoring confidence and identity in whom they can be in Christ.

Quotes worth repeating often, particularly before we associate with others-

 We must learn to place the best possible construction upon doubtful conduct of others. . . . If we are ever suspecting evil we are in danger of creating what we allow ourselves to suspect. . . . We cannot pass along without sometimes having our feelings hurt and our temper tried, but as Christians we must be just as patient, forbearing, humble, and meek as we desire others to be. Oh, how many thousand good acts and deeds of kindness that we receive . . . pass from the mind like dew before the sun, while imaginary or real injury leaves an impression which it is next to impossible to efface! The very best example to give to others is to be right ourselves, and then leave ourselves, our reputation, with God and not show too great anxiety to right every wrong impression and present our case in a favorable light. . . .  {OHC 237.2}

The neglect to cultivate tender consideration and forbearance for one another has caused dissension, distrust, faultfinding, and general disunion. God . . . calls upon us to put away this great sin and to strive to answer the prayer of Christ that His disciples may be one as He is one with the Father. . . . It is the special work of Satan to cause dissension, . . . that the world should be deprived of the most powerful testimony Christians can give it that God has sent His Son to bring into harmony turbulent, proud, envious, jealous, bigoted minds. . . .  {OHC 237.3}
